CUISINE AT IT'S BEST!

Dizengoff street, a beautiful chic street, that has everything your heart desires: restaurants, cafes, boutiques, clubs, bars, hip people and 5 minutes walking distance from the beach!! Dizengoff is the heartbeat of Tel Aviv!!! That is why we were so excited to go for lunch at the tempting cafe/bar - NISHA- located on the oh so fashionable Dizengoff street.

We were immediately treated to heavenly cocktails! The BERRY MOJITO - sweet yet flirty and the CHILI CON HERBS- spicy and mysterious. Throughout the afternoon the bartender spoiled all the dinners with shots of Grey Goose Vodka and Whiskey Bitter while the D.J was spinning fresh beats.

We started with the GREEK SALAD-  Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, purple onion, kalamata olives, croutons, salty white cheese, za'atar, delectably fresh,  BEET SALAD - with Gorgonzola cheese-grilled beets, baby radishes, roasted almonds, arugula, and goat milk yogurt, FARM SALAD-  Cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red pepper, baby radishes, seasoning, olive oil, za'atar, wonderful flavors of pure desire.

Our appetizers were so amazing we yearned to pleasure our awaiting warm mouths with the main dishes that were on their way. The SEA BREAM with SPINACH TORTELLINI and the  SEA BREAM on asian style lemon butter! Both fish left us with a euphoric aftermath!

Yummmmmm! Dessert time! Malabi on a waffle with  3 scoops of ice cream!! We felt all the goodness of this delectable sweet all the way down between our thighs and small whimpers of joy were released from our kissers!

Nisha left us satiated and content!

BAKE OFF!!

Cookies, cakes, pastries, tarts, cupcakes and more!!! This is what we were served at the premier of Bake Off Israe!!

The famous competition selects from among its contestants the best amateur pairs of bakers.
Besides watching the show and drooling heavily over everything that is being magnificently baked, you are in for a great competition and you may also learn a thing or two from the talented competitors! Oh, and the judges are some of our fave chefs and bakers!! Ran Shmueli the genius, Oded Brenner ( of Max Brenner chocolate- yum!) and the charming pastry cook Karin Goren! How exciting!

The premier was held at Ran Shmueli's restaurant Claro, located in the beautiful Sarona, Tel Aviv.
Upon entering we smelled what was in store for us - goodies! Loads of them, and we couldn't wait to indulge our cravings for sweets. First off, there was a breakfast buffet with all kinds of cheeses, fish, cream cheese, bagels, coffee, and drinks.

After the munching, chit chat and gossip, the hosts of the show presented the judges and gave us a glimpse of what would be in store for the viewers. A lot of sweets and competition!! After the audience got a small dose of what will be on their T.V screens, it was time for the dessert smorgasbord to open. Everyone raced to the sweets bar as if they were about to pose for Leonardo Da Vinci's "Last Supper".

It was good, genuinely good!!

After our tummies were full, we left, and upon exiting we were treated to delectable macaroons from Roladin bakery...just in case we did not get sugar infused enough ;)

Make sure to watch the first episode this coming Saturday, April 9th at 9pm- Channel 22- Keshet!!

FLAMINGO CAFE!

On one of Tel Aviv's most iconic streets, Dizengoff, described by many as the "Champs Elysees of Tel Aviv", between all the sophisticated boutiques, a trendy cafe awaited us, FLAMINGO CAFE!

So, we parked our tuchases at the Flamingo Cafe, located on North Dizengoff, where you can watch the sexy eye candy pass by and between all the wedding dresses shops ( where we can get future inspiration).

Flamingo cafe is a bar/cafe with a delectable, and affordable chef kitchen. Ugine Kobal ,the master chef at Flamingo,  had worked at different Michelin star restaurants abroad. The owner of FLAMINGO CAFE  and King of Tel Aviv nightlife is the dashing Rafa Naaman. He was also the owner of the chic sexy bar called Sex Boutique which was a real sex boutique as well, so while sipping on your dry martini with 3 olives, you could have bought some sex toys too ;) Too bad Sex Boutique closed :( It was a real fun experience. but Rafa decided to pursue his culinary love. Hey, food and sex do mesh well, that is why everything at Flamingo Cafe was tres finger-licking and lipsmaking!!

We started with a fresh red cherry tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella, spicy chilli, purple onions and tasty basilikum.

Crunchy Caesar salad with wonderful aromatic parmesan cheese- totally scrumptious!

Crispy fried melt in your mouth risotto balls with truffle, parmesan and tomato sauce - A definite must!

While munching on our appetizers we also enjoyed sipping the unique cocktails that the handsome bartender specially created for us (by request).

For our entrees we had the divine Asian chicken skewers, , the hamburger- tres juicy and tender and sea bass, seasoned to perfection.

Our dessert consisted of a pistachio creme brulee and a creamy  souffle chocolate for the chocolate lovers.

Now time for the nontraditional Czech cakes-  Banana Caramel Cake , Mascarpone, which was phenomenal ,White Chocolate Cake - smooth, creamy and just sweet enough, Brownies and Chocolate Caramel Cake - it looked so good ,we didn't know how to start eating it so we knocked it over to the side and attacked it from all angles!.

PRAGUE OPERA!

The State Opera house in Prague originally opened in 1888. Designed by Fellner and Hellmer with such fine elegance, that a night seeing a show is never to be forgotten!

We saw the thrilling drama-  Il Trovatore , an opera of four acts by Giuseppe Verdi.

The audience was a mix of  hipsters, older people, young couples and true opera mavens. The performance was so outstanding that the cast received rousing ovations !

If you have never been to the opera then you truly must go! It is an unforgettable, emotional roller coaster! The combination of vulnerability of the human voice, dramatic narrative  and music makes opera a pure emotional art form. Opera can really make us feel and hear the world differently, it is great stories through amazing music.
