Cookies, cakes, pastries, tarts, cupcakes and more!!! This is what we were served at the premier of Bake Off Israel !!

The famous competition selects from among its contestants the best amateur pairs of bakers.
Besides watching the show and drooling heavily over everything that is being magnificently baked, you are in for a great competition and you may also learn a thing or two from the talented competitors! Oh, and the judges are some of our fave chefs and bakers!! Ran Shmueli the genius, Oded Brenner ( of Max Brenner chocolate- yum!) and the charming pastry cook Karin Goren! How exciting!

The premier was held at Ran Shmueli's restaurant Claro, located in the beautiful Sarona, Tel Aviv.
Upon entering we smelled what was in store for us - goodies! Loads of them, and we couldn't wait to indulge our cravings for sweets. First off, there was a breakfast buffet with all kinds of cheeses, fish, cream cheese, bagels, coffee, and drinks.

 After the munching, chit chat and gossip, the hosts of the show presented the judges and gave us a glimpse of what would be in store for the viewers. A lot of sweets and competition!! After the audience got a small dose of what will be on their T.V screens, it was time for the dessert smorgasbord to open. Everyone raced to the sweets bar as if they were about to pose for Leonardo Da Vinci's "Last Supper".

It was good, genuinely good!!

After our tummies were full, we left, and upon exiting we were treated to delectable macaroons from Roladin bakery...just in case we did not get sugar infused enough ;)

The launch took place at the CONTAINER - an awesome event space in Jaffa, Tel Aviv.
A crowd of chic peeps were mingling, mixing, noshing, and talking fashion, athletic fashion that is, in between the lush Spring/Summer 2016 Puma collection. All pieces in the collection feature high performance detailing.

While mingling, delicious cuisine was being served. We sunk our teeth into the delicious high calorie grub!Obvi, how can you mingle, drink 4 cosmos and not nosh a bit?! Hamburger sliders, hot dogs,  fish and chips, mini pies, chocolates and more.

The awesome band "Black Strong Coffee" performed and rocked!

Puma has always had swag, elegance, and freshness with a bit of cheekiness. It's then, now and forever. Puma will eternally be trendy and a must in every closet!

Mmmmmm, cuisine from the Far East always gets our taste buds excited!
We were invited to the grand opening of the restaurant Japan Japan, located in a quaint mini mall near enjoyable shopping boutiques.
Great ambiance, chic interior and cozy decor.

We were started with ASIAN VEGETABLE EGG ROLLS-  thin dough stuffed with cabbage, carrots, and house dressing sent molten waves of pleasure in our warm mouths GREEN ASIAN SALAD- mix of green leaves, cucumber, carrots, cherry tomatoes, in chili vinaigrette dressing, TABASAKI- fried chicken wings in chili teryaki sauce and scallions, was lickably fabulous,  we abslolutely lost our senses.

Our starters were so delicious we had a breathless urgency to taste our entrees!!

 Entrees - THE MALAYSIAN- egg noodles with Salmon tempura, onion, carrots,green beans, champignon mushrooms,in Malaysian Curry , ENTRECOTE BITES- sent a charge of excitement all through our bodies, RAINBOW SUSHI which we deep dipped in the sticky wet, tasty sauces.

Shachar the owner and chef is a restaurateur for over 12 years. Japan Japan is a kosher Asian restaurant with delectable cuisine. A great restaurant for birthdays, dates, and basically just for a great meal!

HATRAKLIN restaurant. One of the most magnificent eateries ever. Literally! We still can't believe we found this gem of a restaurant!!!

Located right next to the beautiful Rothschild Blvd and the tres stylish Neve Tsedek, Hatraklin restaurant is waiting to serve you the best steaks and wine there is to offer. Not only is the cuisine delectable but Hatraklin has one of the most awesome concepts ever. Its called "A dinner from the movies".

We and other guests arrived at 7:45 pm (dinner starts at 8) at the restaurant, where we were served wine while mingling a bit. Then we were seated in the dining room where all the tables were facing a big movie screen. Many scenes from a variety of movies are played and after each scene we are served similar or related dishes that were  shown in the movie!!! While munching, all kinds of comedy shorts from well known Israeli movies are played on the big screen, so not only do you enjoy your outstanding dishes, and get tipsy from the tres delectable Israeli wines poured in your glasses like there is no tomorrow but you get to laugh your tuchas off as well. SUPERB!

A dinner from the movies is a dinner with a fabulous 11 course meal.

We were started with a a creamy ORANGE VEGETABLE SOUP, ANTIPASTI- of roasted vegetables, CHICKEN LIVER PATE- with a crust of figs, dates, so soft and creamy it gave us goose bumps all over our bodies , served with an onion marmalade, SIRLOIN CARPACCIO - with Pesto and Parmesan, MOROCCAN BREAD- baked on hot pebbles and ROASTED EGGPLANT- with Tehini, absolutely fabulous!

Our entrees-  SEARED SIRLOIN- Finely sliced raw sirloin, served with a hot stone for individual roasting, baked garlic, chimichuri, and a home made mustard sauce which  made us quiver in joy, CHICKEN CURRY-  an Indian dish of chicken with curry , rice and coconut milk,  true hot flavors of pure desire! STEAK PATTY-  delectable!Our eyes slid shut in pure ecstasy.

Dessert- MALABI- milk based pudding perfumed with rose water (a popular tasty dessert in the middle east) , we let it roll around in our warm mouth so we could explore the creamy texture and bursts of pleasure , CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES which were devastatingly delicious that we yearned for more and more!

Throughout the whole evening  delicious wine was poured like there is no tomorrow by the resident sommelier and Hatraklin owner Mr. Ben- Udis. All the wines at Hatraklin are local boutique Israeli wines as well as all the cuisine being proudly served. All made in Israel.

Hatraklin is a superb fun  restaurant, for dates, anniversaries , birthdays and anything your heart desires! Great cuisine, wonderful professional staff, and a unique experience!!
