GERALD!! Get used to hearing this name. It is the name of the first and most delectable Swiss Patisserie  in Israel. Named after famous pastry chef and owner, Gerald, who brings with him his vision all the way from Switzerland to Tel Aviv, Israel!

Gerald patisserie is designed by the famous Israeli interior designer Yaron Tal. His design of warm colors, dark wood and green tiles gives Gerald a very cozy feeling in a setting that reeks elegance and chic.

It is Gerald's Patisserie birthday, one year old, definitely a time for a celebration! We were invited to the sophisticated bash which was located at  the unique 9 ROOMS in Jaffa ,Tel Aviv. Usually this chic spot is used as a private ladies club , where they hold seminars and special spa treatments. Today though, 9 ROOMS guested us not only for a birthday celebration but for the launch of Gerald's new Bistro menu!

The menu includes a variety of sandwiches filled with goodness-  salmon, tuna curry, Gruyere, corned beef,on freshly made bread and rolls. The wide range of breakfast option :Salads (Caesar,  Nicoise, Quinoa,), Quiches,and soups.

Oh but the sweets!! Phenomenal, not only visually, as they are tres beautiful, but by flavor as well!
The tartlets, cakes pastries and other treats were mind blowing. Alluringly designed with golden fairy dust and exquisitely delicious!

At the very end of the birthday/launch we were all surprised by a delicious cheese fondue! The delectable cheese was brought personally from Switzerland to Israel by the master Gerald himself! Magnifique!!

A picturesque restaurant called MESHEK BARZILAY awaited us on a beautiful rainy Saturday morning. Located in Neve Tzedek- one of Tel Aviv's  oldest districts, between the beautiful boutiques, galleries and craft shops, we couldn't wait to sink our Romanian vampire teeth into the organic local goodies that Meshek Barzilay serves.

There is an option for indoor seating or outdoor seating in the beautiful patio. It was such a beautiful rainy day we obvi opted to sit outdoors. The outdoor patio was surrounded by retractable glass walls, where we enjoyed to hear the rain tapping the windows and took pleasure of being surrounded by tall trees and delightful flowers.

We started with the CAULIFLOWER CLOUDS-  with chickpeas, raisins, peanuts, fresh chili, and green leaves on carrot cream- beautifully executed and rich in flavor. HERBED FOCACCIA- with olive oil and Tahini. POTATO GNOCCHI- Ali olio based on olive oil , cherry tomatoes and parsley, with a touch of chili, served with vegan yogurt, GREEK SALAD WITH FETA-  vegetables in season, pickled onions, olives, hyssop, and feta cheese, (there is a vegan option for the feta cheese- vegan walnut feta)

SHAKSHUKA- eggs or tofu in roasted pepper and tomato sauce, served with house bread, tahini and hummus.The shakshuka was so beautifully presented and healthfully colored that we flirted with it for a bit till we ached to feel how it tastes in our mouths. It was damn good, damn good!

Dessert- CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES-  and candied orange peels, tres attractive and utterly delectable! The truffles made us whimper sounds of pure pleasure!

For all you peeps with doggies, MESHEK BARZILAY is tres animal friendly and tolerant! How fun!

MESHEK BARZILAY is a highly recommended restaurant if you are in to devouring organic, delicious cuisine and leaving with a tummy full of goodness and a euphoric feeling!

Cookies, cakes, pastries, tarts, cupcakes and more!!! This is what we were served at the premier of Bake Off Israel !!

The famous competition selects from among its contestants the best amateur pairs of bakers.
Besides watching the show and drooling heavily over everything that is being magnificently baked, you are in for a great competition and you may also learn a thing or two from the talented competitors! Oh, and the judges are some of our fave chefs and bakers!! Ran Shmueli the genius, Oded Brenner ( of Max Brenner chocolate- yum!) and the charming pastry cook Karin Goren! How exciting!

The premier was held at Ran Shmueli's restaurant Claro, located in the beautiful Sarona, Tel Aviv.
Upon entering we smelled what was in store for us - goodies! Loads of them, and we couldn't wait to indulge our cravings for sweets. First off, there was a breakfast buffet with all kinds of cheeses, fish, cream cheese, bagels, coffee, and drinks.

 After the munching, chit chat and gossip, the hosts of the show presented the judges and gave us a glimpse of what would be in store for the viewers. A lot of sweets and competition!! After the audience got a small dose of what will be on their T.V screens, it was time for the dessert smorgasbord to open. Everyone raced to the sweets bar as if they were about to pose for Leonardo Da Vinci's "Last Supper".

It was good, genuinely good!!

After our tummies were full, we left, and upon exiting we were treated to delectable macaroons from Roladin bakery...just in case we did not get sugar infused enough ;)

The launch took place at the CONTAINER - an awesome event space in Jaffa, Tel Aviv.
A crowd of chic peeps were mingling, mixing, noshing, and talking fashion, athletic fashion that is, in between the lush Spring/Summer 2016 Puma collection. All pieces in the collection feature high performance detailing.

While mingling, delicious cuisine was being served. We sunk our teeth into the delicious high calorie grub!Obvi, how can you mingle, drink 4 cosmos and not nosh a bit?! Hamburger sliders, hot dogs,  fish and chips, mini pies, chocolates and more.

The awesome band "Black Strong Coffee" performed and rocked!

Puma has always had swag, elegance, and freshness with a bit of cheekiness. It's then, now and forever. Puma will eternally be trendy and a must in every closet!
