TABLE TALK!

One of our fave restaurants in Tel Aviv is Table Talk so what better place to spend New Years Eve than there!

Table Talk is located in the hottest location in Tel Aviv center, right next to the famous Dizengoff Center mall and a few steps away from our house :)

SO, what was in store for us on the most spectacular night of the year?: Dancing, Rock and Roll music by the "Molly Coddles" band, sexy DJ, champagne, delectable cuisine and lots of fun suprises.

On the menu:

Starters:  Jerusalem Artichoke soup with white truffle- creamy, fragrant,  and perfect for the wintery evening.
               Beef Carpaccio with mushroom cream, 20 year old balsamic and pecorino cheese- fresh and scrumptious.
                Sea Bass ceviche with gazpacho sauce- light and melt in your mouth!

Entrees    Beef cheek Bourguignon-  lip smacking and toatally something Fred Flinstone would love to sink his teeth in!
                Assorted fish and seafood a la Bouillabaisse  -  bursting with delicious flavors.   










Dessert:  An amazing assortment of absolutely delicious cakes which was pure indulgence. A marvelous evening-end to a new beginning of 2018!

OH MIKAN! HOW WE MISS YOU!

So you are in Belgrade and you are in the mood for true delicious authentic traditional Serbian cuisine with generous portions, authentic decor, outstanding service, live music, and a super cozy dinner experience? Well then dears, MIKAN RESTAURANT is the ONLY place we recommend for that!! Trust us! You will enter, eat, drink, sing and fall in love with the place. We sure did!!

Located in the heart of Belgrade, Konak Mikan not only awaits you with delectable Serbian cuisine but with cozy comfortable air conditioned rooms as well. Konak Mikan is also a homey inn located right next to the famous Knez Mihaliova street.!

Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by the charming owner Igor and seated at our cozy table eager to taste all the goodies that we saw being served at the other tables. The restaurant was full, a band was playing, everyone was singing, drinking eating and enjoying a memorable night.



We were started off with some traditional Serbian delicacies of fresh cabbage salad, radishes,olives, roasted pepper, avjar, tomato with feta cheese, pita bread, kajmak Prebranac (Serbian baked beans)





Our main dishes were Grilled Calamari which were soft with just the right amount of beautiful sprinkled spices, Pork Medallions, absolutely delicious , and the Beef Filet which was tender and mouthwatering.




For a perfect ending to a wonderful night we were served a dish of heavenly authentic Serbian desserts which consisted of walnut fingers, dry pie with walnuts and pumpkin pie.


   During our dinner we enjoyed this wonderful band that sang "New York New York" to us...cause we are from NYC :)


The amazing, talented, handsome owner of Mikan, Igor, presenting Ariana a gift of his finest Rakjya!

It is a must to stop by and enjoy dinner at Mikan, not only is the cuisine an  absolute delicacy but the owner and workers are an absolute treat!
Mikan is the best restaurant in Belgrade to celebrate any event and now, with Christmas and New Years coming up Mikan is definitely the place for it! We recommend it with much love!

Oh dear Belgrade- You left us hopelessly inlove! Especially you- IRIS NEW BALKAN RESTAURANT!

Belgrade, yes, that was our next "go to" destination. Without knowing much of this beautiful city we decided that the usual "go to" destinations were just plain...usual'. So we took off to vist the unusal and boy were we tres glad!

Belgrade is a very vibrant city with charming streets, chic restaurants, popular fashion trends and absolutely sweet people!!

Belgrade has been through ALOT with the wars of the 1990's and the NATO bombing yet it's amazing people have been able to be strong and re-build and re-live with sort of a stylish vengance!
Proof of that, is one of the most high end restaurants we have been to in a while around the world.
IRIS NEW BALKAN we are talking about you!

Located on the second floor of a building, Iris is based in an apartment, with a bar upon entering and tables in two rooms. In one room the tables face a big kitchen window where you can see the master chef VANJA PUSKAR and his crew working on your tasty dishes, live.

We, obviously, opted for the table right infront of the kitchen window, not because the chef was absolutly handsome, ofcourse not! ;) or a bit because of that to be honest but mostly to see the master at work.
We decided on the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing.


We were started with CHEESE- a perfect start for our excited culinary journey,  FOREST MEAT- impeccable, SMOKED CARP-  absolutely faultless , MEAT TEA- was enjoyably sedative, PIG EARS- unique and memorable, BEEF FILET-was superb, a great mouth feel and definitely our drug of choice, CORNELEAN CHERRY,- sitting naughtly in it's delicate plate waiting to be inserted into our awaiting mouths and boom, it was perfectly sinful, and last but not least the PLUM GNOCCHI- dangerously delicious.












Iris New Balkan Cuisine may be an upscale restaurant with super fine dishes yet very warm and cozy and  as inviting as Henri Matisse's - The Diner Table.

Iris New Balkan restaurant is definitley a must go for your visit in Belgrade, not only for the tres unique culinary experience but for the absolutely delicious dishes!!

BOCCACCIO IL MIO AMORE!

Located seconds from the beach, Boccaccio, a cozy, high end Italian restaurant awaited us.
Upon entering we were greeted by a wonderful, stinky,  giant parmesan cheese! Delish!
While waiting for our table to be ready we enjoyed the art work exhibited all around the restaurant,  by various artists, which changes monthly .

We started with the Seafood Salad: Shrimps, Calamari and mussels on a bed of green leaves and Burghul, Chicken Pate, and a delicious salad, all fresh, presentable and delectable.





Our entrees:  Marinara Seafood Pasta :Shrimps, Calamari and mussels in rich fish stock and Rose Wine sauce, Pork Sirloin with mushrooms and cream and the Veal Fillet in Port Wine and Berry Sauce. Everything was so absolutely delicious that we felt we stepped into another dimension.




For dessert we had the  Parfait Torino- double chocolate, amaretto and marzipan- which satisfied our sweet tooth.




Everything tasted very homey and the ambience was very intimate. Recommended with love!

CALLING ALL MEAT EATERS!

Who doesn't like to sink their teeth into a delicious juicy steak?! Well, we don't know about you all but we sure do! So what better place to go to than to one of the top meateries Tel Aviv - RAK BASAR- a rustic and elegant cave like restaurant.
 Upon entering you are instantly served a glass of complimentary red wine, which is always happily accepted by us...hey, red wine is tres healthy ;). After being seated and ordering our starters (green salad and focaccia)  we were escorted to the butcher counter where you can choose your own piece of imported Argentinian prime rib/sirloin steak/kebab/burger/sausages/lamb chops/chorizzo/Israeli prime rib,chicken,picanha steak (the butt part of the cow which was actually our favorite!)and 100 % ground beef hamburgers, all by weight, which means that you buy it by the pound.





The meat is then grilled and brought to your table on a steaming grill platter with sides of potatoes and chimichurri .




We ordered the Picanha which was thinly cut and very tasty, Israeli Entrecote, Chorizo,a blast of spices in your mouth and chicken skewer.



For dessert we ordered the Belgian waffle, which satisfied our sweet tooth craving.


Rak Basar is a wondereful place for any celebration! You get to enjoy delectable meat in a fairytale like cave with wonderful service! A must!
