POKE- A raw fish salad in the Hawaiian cuisine. Poke is Hawaiian people's favorite and most popular dish. It is a very healthy meal as it consists of healthy omega 3 fatty acids and it is also absolutely delicious. Poke has become very trendy around the world, from Hawaii to NY, LA and now Tel Aviv. The second we heard Poke was in town we headed straight to "POKE -All in a bowl"- and were super excited to see what was in store for us!! The place is cozy and artsy, located in the center of Tel Aviv.

Here at "Poke- All in a bowl", you build your own Poke Salad.You start by choosing the rice- white or brown), Kale or a mix of lettuce, the fresh delicate chopped raw fish (Poke Tuna ,Poke Salmon , Poke White Fish), Poke Tofu and Poke Portobello, a choice of delicious vegetables, edamame , seaweed, fresh jalapeno, broccoli, ginger and fruits of the season and a variety of unique sauces.

The second the Poke, rice and other goodies hit your mouth it's sheer delight! Not only is the Poke outstanding here but the staff are absolutely accommodating and extremely nice!

L'ENTRECOTE RESTAURANT !

L'entrecote restaurant is located in lovely Tel Aviv City. A high end kosher restaurant that serves delectable entrecote steak and a wide variety of other delicious dishes, L'entrecote is very upscale yet super cozy.
Our waitress spoiled us with delicious cocktails (we asked for something fruity so our bartender prepared us scrumptious drinks).

We started with the Tomato Beet Salad - a colorful tomato salad with caramelized beets, roasted peppers and basil, very refreshing, Salmon Gravadlax- served with coriander seed,olive oil, parsley and lemon, our palates were extremely thrilled as the delectable salmon entered our hungry mouths, Liver Pate-served with apple jam and beer bread, smooth like a babies behind and absolutely mouthwatering.

Now it was time for the main reason we came to L'entrecote and that is to devour the best steak in town!! We all obviously ordered the L'entrecote Steak -330 grams served with mustard sauce and herbs, tres succulent and addicting! Just thinking about the entrecote makes us lust for it!

In L'entrecote, you must eat Entrecote ;)!

Desserts- Halva parfait served with Kadaif noodles and crunchy nuts.A dish with refreshing sorbet- astounding!

The service at L'entrecote was absolutely professional and personal, all the servers very kind and helpful. It is a great place to celebrate all kinds of fun occasions! We highly recommend it!

TRES CHIC AND KOSHER!!!

The brilliant chef Nir Zook has done it again!! Nir opened a new tres chic restaurant called MAPU in the center of the popular bubbly city Tel Aviv. Not only are his dishes delectable but they are KOSHER as well. Mapu is located inside the PRIME CITY BOUTIQUE HOTEL.

Even before our tuchases hit our chairs we were offered cocktails by the cheery waitress. We decided on the Mapu Cocktail and two specially ordered ones.

After getting our cocktail buzz going on, and enjoying sitting next to the fresh vegetables and spices laid out on the shelve by our side, enticing us, we were ready to be seduced by the famous Chef Nir Zook's chef D'oeuvre! We started with a VARIETY OF BREADS- shaped grissini served with tomatoes, horseradish, and vine leaf paste (the vine leaf paste is absolutely unique and phenomenal!) , the GOOSE LIVER TERRINE- pickled dry figs and Japanese mustard leaf salad- so soft and melt in your mouth!! and GARDEN SALAD with lemon dressing- cheeky and crunchy!

For our main dishes -The SALMON AND PEA DUET-Grilled Salmon, very dominant over the tasty submissive garden pea ravioli served on the side, WIENER SCHNITZEL- Tel Aviv style with pickled shallots, served on a beautiful cut tree trunk, was so tender and so good that we were slaves to it with every bite , BEEF FILLET MEDALLIONS- on za'atar kale+rose petal potatoes, SUPERB!

Dessert-
Orange Flan- creamy and sweet, a slutty Volcano chocolate ball with mandarin cream -and warm chocolate syrup poured over it- an absolute sexy and pleasurable naughty dish and a perfect ending to a wonderful gastronomic evening.

Mapu is definitely one of THE HOTTEST and trendiest new restaurants in Tel Aviv worth going to! The cuisine is not simply delicious , it is succulent because Nir puts a lot of heart, soul and affection in all his hands touch.
