Is there anything better then Italian cuisine?! It is one of our favorites! In between our worldly travels we heard of a unique authentic restaurant that everybody was gossiping about. As we love to be in the know how, our 5'10 frames took quick and long giraffe steps toward CAMPANELLO CAFFE!
Campanello Cafe, lovely bijou restaurant in the heart of Tel Aviv. Great, young and pleasant vibe with exceptionally good food.
We started with the the Fresh Caprese Salad- Mozzarella on a bed of cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, red onion, basil and olive oil, marvelous fresh seasonal greens, the Foccacia arugula and parmesano- served with olive oil and balsamico, rich vegetable Minestrone soup- multi flavourish, and the Margherita pizza- Tomato sauce, Mozzarella and basil, thin crusted, delicious, crisp and fully flavored!
For our entrees - Spaghetti Bolognese -Beef Ragu with root vegetables was succulent, Fettuccine Cream and Salmon- in butter, garlic, asparagus and lemon zest was sea fresh and felt like a party in our mouths, Fettuccine Shrimp and Calamari- Aglio Olio, white wine and cherry tomatoes- totally fork tender.
Dessert - Hot Fudge- flour free molten chocolate cake was cloyingly sweet, Tiramisu- mascarpone cream with ladyfingers and espresso, so delicious and sinful!
Campanello is a great place to enjoy real authentic Italian cuisine in the center of jolly Tel Aviv! and now we are off to dance the night away in one of the trendy hotspots near by till the wee hours of the night, or make that till the very early hours of the morning! Hey, we did say Tel Aviv, didn't we? Tel Aviv is not a city that sleeps. Tel Avivians play hard darlings!
